Tucker was never in. He was a smokescreen.

So in 24 years of coaching, he has worked at 15 different schools.....
That's an average of 1.6 years at each stop.

Anyone on board for that?
Not me.

Most of these dudes want Aranda or Franklin

I don’t want Tucker either but pretending that Aranda is somehow more qualified than Mel Tucker is hilarious.

Or do you just make stuff up?

They're making it up. Tucker's buyout is $2.5 million. Lower than what we're paying Pelini to not be LSU's defensive coordinator. Napier has a bigger buy out. Hardly large.

What part of unqualified is so funny to you Affirmative Action Queens?

Tucker's 3 mediocre years as a D1 HC?

The years he spent as a so-so Co-Defensive Coordinator?

The really bad years as an NFL DC?

The fact that Tucker's never spent more than 1 1/2 years employed by some really bad teams?

I hope you are right but looking at what I found online his buyout doesn't look too bad

Michigan State signed Tucker to a six-year contract with a $5.5 million annual salary. The buyout for taking another job in college or the NFL was $6 million if he left by Jan. 15, 2021, but dropped to $2.5 million for leaving between Jan. 16, 2021 and Jan. 15, 2022. It declines by $500,000 in subsequent years.

LSU must have a coach before Christmas. Waiting until Jan 15 for a lower buyout would be a mistake. We need a coach before Jan 15. Ideally we have a coach named in late November or December.
