Tucker and Franklin getting huge extensions

Both were linked to the LSU search at one time or another. Both getting huge raises apparently. Something we are not seeing is driving these big numbers. No doubt AD's and Agents get a ton more inside info than we ever hear. Maybe the theory that LSU has has a agreement in place already is what is driving this. These other schools are afraid that if the LSU deal falls through that we will snatch their coach. Just trying to connect some dots here. At the rate things are going I don't think they will be able to keep things under wraps before sunday.

The offer for 12+ is real. That alone could drive up asking prices. It unfortunately doesn't mean we have anyone yet though. With that said, we certainly could have someone. I know for a fact that Oklahoma isn't matching that number, so it was all up to Riley, last I heard. Things have gone abnormally dark since last week. I'm hoping it's due to a surprise party planned for us.

It's basically why I'm a pile of nerves atm and Sexton pushing Napier to Florida just makes the nerves worse. These huge extensions wouldn't be happening if both of them weren't serious candidates at some point in the process. The only tea leave reading that isn't deeply concerning is that Riley hasn't signed or announced an extension. USC is pretty confident that their guy is Aranda. Tucker and Franklin got huge raises. Jimbo ain't coming. Campbell has been silence until very recently which makes me think he's pretty far down the list and we're there. It seems like there is a decent chance we end up with a guy like Traylor or Mike Stoops and I am ridiculously not okay with that. Traylor might end up being a star, but it's too early to take that risk and why the frick did we not just hire Napier at that point.
So in a nutshell I am super ready to quietly melt if the coach isn't one of Riley, Aranda, or Napier.
