did i say something that should be contradicted?

i guess you can argue TT is not the #2 program in Texas with Texas, A&M (potential not production), and TCU (great production recently but most would say an inferior program the the major Big 12 Texas programs) right now... and everyone and their mother recruiting the state

In that sense (and history of success of course) Auburn > TT

I'm curious what's up your arse to be rude on the subject really

I don't think you even know what you're talking about.

Exactly. If he does well and keeps them a Top 25 program he'll be at LSU in two years.

God I hope not

It's such a drastic change for the program, I wonder if they'll offer. Though, hiring Tuberville will go a long way toward appeasing the pissed off fanbase. Tuberville is a big name and a splash hire.

I just figured TT would just promote the OC. Tuberville should hold out for a better gig IMO.

i don't see him getting offered a better job. middle of the pack teams in bcs coonferences are as good as he can hope for.

I'm not sure he could get a better gig. Kansas didn't want him after he showed interest. Then, there were rumors that he was interested in the DC job at UGA. Beggars can't be choosers.

I could see two potential opportunities though:

Miami if Shannon shits the bed next season - Tuberville has coached there for several years during the program's heyday. Miami can't afford to hire a guy with a huge name. Remember their last search? Even Schiano at Rutgers - a former Miami DC - turned them down.

Texas A&M if Sherman continues in mediocrity and they decide to bite the bullet, take the financial hit and fire him - Tubs would be the big name replacement to appease the fanbase. He would also be cheaper than a big name guy. Plus, there all of the similarities of A&M to Auburn.

Of course, there's no guarantee that these events would happen and he'd even be considered by the TAMU and Miami administrations. He shouldn't just wait around for wishful opportunities to arise.
