Jimbo is, without question, THE homerun hire. If you can't get him, get Herman. If you can't get Herman, get Fedora. If we get "stuck" with O, I can live with that.
I'm pretty optimistic because from our choices I don't see the program taking a huge dive, which apparently is what a lot of people think on this board.

I was 4 weeks ago, but the guy has completely earned my respect. Having a top 10 defense every year is a pretty good way to build a program.

I'm not against giving Aranda a chance because he seems smart enough to know what he's good at and what he's not good at. I also like that he's a perfectionist. A good head coach knows to let other people do their job. That's why I like O, too. That's why I'm not shitting on O like the rest of this board.

Let me see if I got this right...we are a top 5 job and want to hire a guy with absolutely no experience as a head coach...yet yall thrash coach O...the hypocrisy of it all

I absolutely believe Aranda will be one of those top tier coaches and a home run hire. I think he stays for one more year if they hire a Jimbo or Herman, but he will be a head coach in 2018 somewhere.

I think a lot of coaches can come here and do well but the most important thing is how well they can recruit.
