I think he meant analytics. Lane Kiffin has proven that he’s not ready for a program like LSU. I mean, he can take chances like going for it on 4th and 20 backed up deep into his own territory and get away with it at a place like Ole Miss that has limited resources and is fine with being mediocre. That wouldn’t go over well here.

Give me a freaking break. Kiffin doesn't swing for the fences as he did in the Auburn game for every game. I mean, he didn't do it in the LSU game. As he was swinging for the fences in that Auburn game because all of his top receivers were out for the game, his QB had two sprained ankles, and his best defensive player was injured and on the bench.

As Kiffin knew that if he lost that game that Ole Miss would fall out of contention for the SEC West title. Hence, he went all out and was swinging for the fences in that one particular game. However, that was just one game and it certainly is not indicative of his entire coaching career.

I mean, those of you pointing to that one game as reason why Kiffin should not be made the head coach of LSU are either dumb as shite or just plain arse stupid as shite.

As I found Kiffin's strategy to be refreshing after sitting though the 2013 game LSU played against Alabama and lost.

To the contrary, Kiffin is by far the best coaching candidate available by far. As none of the other realistic candidates can come close to matching his experience and his success. In fact, Kiffin has the best offensive mind in college football and when it comes to recruiting, Kiffin is on the same level with Ed O.

Moreover genius, Ole Miss is 5 & 2. How s that mediocre? In fact, Ole Miss just beat the pants off of LSU with far less talent than LSU. Did you already forget about that game? Lay off the crack when you are posting please.

At LSU and with all of LSU's resources, Kiffin would build a juggernaut and he's young, which means he would remain at LSU for years and years.

Nonetheless, if Woodward makes the stupid mistake of hiring someone else, then I bet it won't be very long at all before Kiffin and Ole Miss will not only be beating LSU on the recruiting trail but also on the football field every year as well.

I don’t think that beating LSU right now is really much to hang your hat on.

First of all, if you can read sarcasm and the caveat that my post and comments were in jest, then you should read between the lines. But since you can’t, yes the bastard came to Tennessee for 1 year and fled to USC. Then was left on the tarmac and hence Ed Orgeron was born. Paid no attention to anyone who is a coach at some directional school. But what ended it for me was telling the nice lady on CBS to get her some popcorn and watch Ole Miss beat down Alabama and threw his headset. That did it for me. He’s an a-hole and I’m sick of characters. Lou Holtz was a character, Les Miles was a douchebag character, and Ed O is Farmer Fran from the Waterboy.
I would literally mail in my Stadium Club Season tickets and TD Village parking pass, stop paying my TAF contribution and un-enroll my kids from LSU and send them to Northwestern State if Lane Kiffin is hired.

Now that was in jest too FYI but people need to learn to take a frickin joke. I’d send them to LA Tech instead.

Lane Kiffin would have us back in the playoffs faster than anybody

That is debatable. What is not debatable is that Lane would take as many recruits or existing players with him if he leaves for another job. Yes, he and Zero did this at Tennessee.

Who was the coach we had from Oklahoma? We had one from Oklahoma State, but not OU.

1. Dave Aranda-was awful is first year, good record this season but lost to the only ranked team he’s played. Needs way more experience.

1. Mel Tucker-for similar reasons as Aranda.

3. Urban Meyer-would be a PR nightmare for a school that already has a bad image.

Top 5 that I would want that I consider realistic

1. Luke Fickell
2. Mario cristobal
3. Chris Peterson
4. Mark Stoops
5. Jamey Chadwell

I don’t understand why people don’t get it. He is a f*** up. All the stuff O did, he is doing in Oxford and more. And just like here, when you win nothing is said. Let him have two 4 win seasons in a row and all the negative stuff will come out.

When you say antics, what are you talking about? Do you mean when he quit the Tennessee train wreck to take the USC job after only one year and where he cut his teeth on coaching? I mean, what other "antics" could there be? Can you describe some of Kiffin's antics at Florida Atlantic and at Ole Miss that you didn't like? You said antics, what antics in your mind makes Lane Kiffin persona non grata in your mind?

When you say "cartoon character", are you talking about his sense of humor? As he really has a cool sense of humor.

To grab a quick look at Kiffin's resume, just check the last 2 LSU-Ole Miss outcomes. Kiffin has as good of an offensive mind as anybody in college football.

I don’t understand why this guy keeps getting mentioned as a candidate. Am I missing something? He couldn’t beat a ranked team at Baylor and has a head coaching record that’s barely over .500. Not to mention not doing anything in the nfl.
