From what I have read, our leaders had to get the Carr camp OKs before they went ahead with it.

Wolverine, what is the stranglehold that Carr has on the football program that his approval needs to be obtained on any new hire?

No shite.

For such a storied program, they sure are being held hostage by a guy who most years was good for at least 3 losses

It is unbelievably perplexing that any athletic department would have a "Godfather" that has to bless any movements. It's not like Carr is paying the next coach out of his own pocket.

I know, I cannot understand how they view him so highly when he had trouble beating OSU

Carr is still very involved with fund raising for Mott's Children Hospital. Something that is important to MSC the way I understand it. Thus she doesnt wanna upset him.

I didnt say it made sense. Just the way it is I suppose.

If I'm Les, I look at Michigan and see how much influence Carr and his 3 losses a year now have, I'm taking that job.

Les can easily duplicate those results

That is the thing though...we are not known for firing coaches. If you dont fall flat on your face, or make some type of spectacle of yourself, Michigan coaches tend to keep their jobs.

You have to be screwing up to lose more than 2 or 3 games on avg per yr. Throw in an OSU win here to keep it respectable(or own them like we did in the 90s), and no way you are getting the boot.

Different culture than SEC.

I think RR was like the 13th coach we had since Yost(like 110 yr span), if that tells ya anything.

Then Les is your man.

And based on those exceptions, I can't see how he wouldn't view that as the perfect job for him

Seems like a marriage made in coaching heaven for both sides

Carr's smart then if he keeps himself relevant by cozying up to the President's pet project. I think it hampers your football program, bit to each their own.

Yeah, Speedy, I'm with you. Les could have a strong influence over that program after he retires if he mimics Carr's footsteps.

Our bowl games have always been basically "home" games for the other team. We sit just under .500, with a number of those losses coming from Bo(Think 19-21 overall).

Also the B10 always ended play like 3rd week of Nov, which gave our teams rust.

If they were to move bowls north, I would like to think our win percentage would go up. There is nothing to back my reason up, but I know at our last game you could hear the volume difference between the 2 sides.

There would of been a heck of a lot more B10/Wolverine fans if the game had been in Wiscy for instance.

Home field means a lot in CFB.

he needs to try something at this point .. he clearly said his "saasus" told him miles WILL accept the Michigan job within the next 48 hours and that Bo Pelini had already been contacted by LSU and would accept the job offer ... I found it interesting that during the course of the show he couldn't get "in touch" with either Jimmy Ott, who normally does the show or Chris Landry, who he does a weekly show with ... Neither apparently wanted to be anywhere near the story ..

It is about a 5% chance at this point that it goes down the way his rock solid "saasus" said it would ... He can't crawfish either .. he said it was a done deal and left no wiggle room .. He also said the story was confirmed and coming from a "number of angles" as if he had a stable of "saasus" and it was a forgone conclusion ..

Of course, you have to laugh at a third tier at best sportscaster even having actual sources .. like T4E said, Krysan's "saasus" was his laptop and the message boards he was trolling ...

i think the bigger issue recently is that y'all have run up against better teams in a # of bowl games. Like Tennessee in the Citrus Bowl after we beat them in the 2001 SEC title game and knocked them out of the national title game, USC in the 2004 Rose, the 2005 Rose when Vince Young went crazy, and USC again in the 2007 Rose.

yeah, you're having to travel, but that's not the only issue.

That's whay makes Krysan so annoying...

He speaks confidently with an arrogance as if he REALLY knows what he's talking about, and if you listen to him through 2 commercial breaks, you're sure to see through him.

It's nice to listen to anyone who speaks confidently, unless you learn that they don't have a clue, then you can't trust anything they say.

I wonder why those other guys even get on the radio with him.

that is the annoying thing about it .. in his mind, he really is a relevant major national media player and he acts the part on the air ... but he is acting the part on shite like charles barbre's TV show, some radio talk show on a christian AM station in dry prong, la., a television show on channel 1124 that he creates to hit up bar sponsors for free booze while they promote the crap out of the LSU women's tennis coach coming on next week .. shite like that .. nothing ever major at all ... but he acts the part ... for the most part, i understand the LSU sports info office, major news organizations, etc. basically laugh at the guy and don't take him seriously ... LSU and Les Miles obviously didn't feel the major need to "respond" to his rumor this weekend ..

He's definitely the kind of guy who talks loud and tries to stand out in public in the hopes that someone will recognize him.

People like this are attention whores at heart. He can't be pulling down much money, so it's not about that.

Suck it Krysan.

You really shouldn't sell message board fodder as an "inside source".

Everyone except the unfortunate UM fans saw through your shite.
