I had to look them all up:

2015
#25 Memphis
#16 Navy
#20 Temple
#9 FSU

2016
#3 OU
Possibly more

Who is good from the SECw this year outside of Bama (we are assuming Herman would be the coach at LSU for this scenario so they are excluded.) Auburn is average to good and A&M is the same. Arky is in the same boat

So you have 1 really good team, and 5 teams where Herman will have more talent than the opposing team, and 5 teams that are sometimes good but just as often not

I don't think playing 2-3 good teams over 2 years means much. play a tough conference schedule (loaded with great teams)

Isn't that all relative though?

I mean, would you argue what Chris Petersen and Gary Patterson did in the WAC and MWC didn't mean much because they didn't play loaded conference schedules?

I would rather a win vs this years Ole Miss and Arkansas teams than any of them...just being honest

I would put the sec west up against either division of the big 10. All of the losses are in conference...maybe 2 to the east. LSU and Auburn lost to Wisconsin and Clemson. Face it LSU isn't the same team as the one that played Wisconsin.

My argument is when they did face highly ranked opponents the games were much more important to TCU and Boise than say a power 5 school that has to get up and play well for more conference games than TCU and Boise did. It has always been my gripe with ND not being in a conference. While Michigan, Mich. St. and USC get up for ND they essentially had 8-9 conference games that were more important than ND...whereas ND didn't have any conference games.

Just saying but Herman beat Memphis and Memphis beat Ole Miss last year. Ole Miss was a better football team last year.
