What? He hasn’t.

I think a prerequisite for being the head coach of LSU is that you’re actually a coach and it’s your profession. But that’s just me.

Like the one we just dumped?

Hell yeah, lets use that blueprint again! Let's find a guy that has in depth, ling term experience

Head coaching has changed right in front of our eyes. Its a management position. Guys like kiffin are involved thru play calling, and heavy qb coaching.

Honestly, im not advocating for or against someone like Tebow. Ex player, heavy heavy passion and college success, NFL experience, connections in every corner. Media loves guys like Tebow. And when media lives them, guess who else does....the kids.

It will get interesting for sure....but the OC will be more responsible for future success, than the HC will

That’s great, except the media is often wrong. And kids are definitely often wrong.

How about just some experience?

You’re right man, let’s hire someone who has 0 coaching experience at all off the fricking street and have him run what is essentially a top 5 business in Louisiana.

Are you capable of understanding how monumentally stupid that is? He’s never coached in any capacity! Not Pop Warner, not middle school, not high school, not college, not pros. None. Zero. No experience. Let me ask you something, how’d that Trent Dilfer experiement just work out? What about the Deion experiment?

There is a reason shite like that never works.

Why do you keep trotting this idiocy out? You’re acting as if Brian Kelly is the only coach available. I’m not asking for you to have been a head coach thirty years or more, I’m not even advocating that the hire have head coaching experience necessarily. I’m simply stating that advocating for a guy with NO coaching experience at all to come be LSU’s head coach is insanely stupid. Advocating for someone who’s never recruited, coached a position, or anything is wildly moronic. Which is what you’re doing.

I’m sorry, is this a troll?

A large pct of fans completely underestimate the difficulty in being a head coach at a major university.

It’s crazy.

He jumped on the eye of the tiger as a Florida player and you want him to coach here. There is a Florida coaching job open too.

He could hire a great coach.
Narrative about LSU after BK debacle would change in a minute.
Everyone in football respects the man.
Would be a bold, positive, hire.
Nick Saban at LSU as Athletic Director. Make it happen and let him hire the new football coach. He would tell King Coonass (Landry) to frick off and get out of our business!

No ine knows shite...including me...but

What i do know is that the best experience coaches have fell on their face, and the least experienced have had success, many times
When that happens, they become the new guy that everyone wants.

Bow things have changed, kids are paid, and coaches are more mangers than anything, with specialized coordinators, each with 5 assistants.
The screaming a-hole old man gig is OVER!
I said someone "like" a Tebow would check lots of boxes....respect, ethics, champion, overachiever, intelligent, warrior, high high football iq, etc etc etc
Kids would buy in, and with great coordinator hires, there's zero reason he couldn't succeed, just like any other person could.

Tebow says something nice about LSU and people want him to go into coaching.

In what respect? ADs are fundraisers that are one notch above insurance salesmen. They always have their hand out. It is a dirty job but somebody has to do it…

Look at the weak ones. They cant get anybody to follow the plan and put up money.
