Never been a DC. But he's a HC (Nicholls) with a defensive background and interesting track record.

Downvotes are expected and welcomed.

I’m not going to downvote, but the fact that he applauded the Pelini hire turns me off from him completely.

Yes, he should have bashed another university’s hire. Professional and happens all the time.

Taught me a lot about playing middle infield when I was at Hahnville. Not sure he’d make a good DC for LSU though.

I was an athlete at Nicholls during the end of Jay Thomas and beginning of Charlie Stubbs era. I remember thinking how in the hell do you win in football at this place? It literally did not seem remotely possible.

Tim Rebowe is a obviously a hell of a coach. He turned it around IMMEDIATELY. It’s a shame it took him that long to land a head coaching job. Is he a good candidate for LSU dc? Idk, probably not. But he is clearly a good football coach.

Never said he was the coach at Hahnville. But I can assure you when Webre was coaching there, Tim was there helping before he went back to Destrehan to coach.

ETA: regardless of what wikis says. He’s a Destrehan grad so I’m sure Destrehan is claiming all those years. But 86-87 he was 100% helping webre at Hahnville.

He was head coach at Dhan JR high one yr before he went to DHS. I played for him the whole time he was there. He's a great guy and coach. If he keeps winning at Nicholls I think ULL offers him HC job when Naiper leaves

Well 86-87 were my freshmen and sophomore years. And webre was our JV coach. Again, never said Tim was the coach or even a coach. I do know he was at practices helping webre, who was a friend and high school teammate.

Tim actually took the middle infielders, tied our throwing hand to our glove hand and was the driving force behind all of using 2 hands turning 2, receiving any throw from any position. Also was the one who taught us the step back turning 2 as the 2nd baseman to avoid getting spiked. Agreed with everything you said about him. He was probably just showing up occasionally as a service to his friend, but he made a lasting impression on me and I’m 48.
