I said it a few days ago. Promote Aranda to HC and give him a 5-year, $4M/yr deal, promote Raymond to DC and keep Canada. One thing to add - you can either fire Oregeron or demote him to DL and cut his salary to $900K/yr.

At 3mm per, I can't see Aranda staying nor do I think LSU should match that. We can find someone just as competent even though it will be a huge blow.

We can find someone just as competent? There are about 2 guys in all of college football I'd put on Aranda's level.

Letting the best coach on the staff and arguably the best at his position in the whole country walk to go to a division rival is awful

They already have the head coach we wanted 2 years in a row. Now just give them the best guy on our staff

I seriously hate LSU right now

Are you willing to send a football program to the pits over what’s right or wrong? I’m not. I love this shite too much. There’s nothing morally wrong with it so just pay the damn check.

Let me rephrase, I think we can find someone who will have LSU's defense just as competent. It's not like we were shitty at defense before he arrived. shite, we made Chavis look like he was a good defensive coordinator. He obviously is not.

I think it'll be like baseball (or basketball) there will be massive contracts where overpayment is the norm. Organizations, media, fans will decry it but the contracts set he new norm regardless.

Somebody should tell Tigerrag that their radio commercials are re-goddamn-diculous. That Most Interesting Man in the World sounds like Count Dracula. He's supposed to be Hispanic... not Transylvanian.

Chavis is (or at least was) a good coordinator for a long time. Aranda is a great one though. 3+ million great.... eh

No matter how this turns out, it's not a good look for Alleva or Ed. How long before they are on life support?

Agreed. He sabotaged Les and orchestrated this entire thing. Kudos to him for self preservation skills, but he needs to GTFO. He's in over his head and ruining everything that was built from 2000 on.

Where do you think LSU ranks when it comes to the coaching staff?
