I think our only legitimate competition for him is Oregon. They have me a bit worried but being that he's from the midwest I think he stays home.
Kentucky is Kentucky. With basketball being king there I don't think PJ Fleck will want to be outshined. Vandy is Vandy.
Fleck can easily come to Purdue, recruit in the 25-40 range yearly and win a bunch of ball games. If he does better, we compete for the division regularly....since we play 6 other teams that don't really recruit better than 25-40 anyhow. We'll only catch OSU and Michigan twice every six years on average and its a statistical anomaly that we would have to play both in the same year.
Its a good situation to prove yourself for elite jobs, where we have the $$$ to chase off all but the truly elite who try to court him away.

Yeah this guy is totally out of his depth. Unfortunately he is reflective of a good chunk of our fanbase.

those are literally the two biggest names in coaching right now and both were head coaches in the MAC
