Has an interesting background - good and bad. Failed as HC at UNLV, excelled as OC at Utah. Appears to be spread option oriented. My preference is pro-style and Steve Logan is my number one choice.

He's a good coach, but he wouldn't be the exciting hire most of the fanbase is clamoring for.

He's a pretty good OC, but his stint at UNLV leaves me with concerns.

From what I have seen of this fanbase, they are the LAST ones I'd care to have input on the next OC.

I'll just let Miles pick who he thinks is best and then I'll cheer like hell for that person to be successful.

It's UNLV. I mean, come on... 2 words, Alex Smith.

ETA: Ignore the fact he sucks in the NFL, dude was good at Utah. The original BCS Busters.

Would also rather see a pro style.

at this point. I don't think it matters who they hire. There are people on this board that will not be happy and spend their entire day trying to defame and destroy the guy's accomplishments.

I just don't like the identity this guy would bring to the LSU offense. Running out of the shot-gun every play is not the direction I want LSU to go. He could be good, but...

I'm firmly in the camp that would like to see LSU run a Pro-style offense. QB under center, play-action, pipeline to the NFL type of offense.

I did a little searching around, he's a west coast guy...do they even do BBQ over there? Why would Les hire a guy like that? Can we plan a march against Sanford? etc etc

Has he always been a spread-option guy? Does anybody know if he's been involved with any other style of offense anytime in his coaching career?
