why does tubberville even want to work for people that appear to be bigger back stabbers than Lowder and co. at Auburn?

All I know is that he apparently said that he has interest in the job. If KU turned him down, then he isn't exactly in a position to pick his dream job.

he's not that bad at recruiting.
