This process reminds me of a woman in labor

The waiting is the hardest part.
Men sitting in the waiting room passing time running their mouths about the future of the kid in preparation for lighting up the victory stogies. Others checking in every now and then to get status updates. Still others wanting to grab a bite to eat, but afraid they’ll miss the big announcement if they leave.
Let’s all hope when the announcement does finally come it’s actually OURS.

by the time something happens most people will be like "ok, thats cool, good hire"
only those expecting it to happen 4 weeks ago are all wrapped up in every moment of this and those people wont be happy no matter who the new HC is
i would be shocked if anything happens before first week of december
