This feels a lot like what happened with Kiffin to Arkansas

Arkansas had gotten a verbal agreement and Kiffin had supposedly signed a memorandum of understanding with them. Then just before they signed (literally 24 hours before Arky was set to announce him), Keith Carter and Ole Miss reached out to Sexton and asked what it would take.

Negotiations began and the rest is history. I think Riley was the guy and an agreement was in place but USC came along at the last minute to steal him.

It's exactly like Herman and LSU. Herman ever intended to go to LSU but he acted like he was interested to raise the offer from Texas.

Riley obviously wants no part of the SEC but no one knew that because they used LSU to leverage an offer from USC.

Almost certainly what happened, but you got guys like Shea saying we never even offered him the job. Seems like blatant damage control.

Is Sexton Riley’s agent?

If he is I seriously hope every SEC AD refuses to work with any of his clients. Because this stinks of his bullshite

Because he played the game and got his client the best deal? Woodward needs to learn to play or be gone

This isn’t a Woodward thing. Sexton has played numerous ADs like a fiddle for years. Straight up lied to them in order to get his client better deals than they probably deserve.

He is a snake and the SEC should collectively tell it’s coaches to find other agents because they won’t work with him. The SEC has all the power and money. So they would have to listen
