If Herman leaves for Texas(which is most likely scenario), UH would probably name their DC the next coach. Texas will 100% go after Aranda.

With what Texas is about to offer Herman, I'd have to think the Horns offering 3M for Aranda would be no big deal..if Herman wanted him over his current Cougar DC..
But, with Aranda soon for an HC gig of his own, why go to the pass happy Big-12 and it's 7-on-7 camp softies and UT talent level of current..which will surely be a major reclamation effort that will dent his career stats.

We have to get him to talk to Herman. We need all the convincing we can get. LSU should have remained on him like a tick on a dog all year.
