There is a post stating Stanford is offering $26 million over 5 years for JH to stay. I know we aren't supposed to link other sites, so I won't.

Not sure who CB's source is but he seems to be saying the same things as Rosenberg who was on Cowherd's show as "the insider" saying UM was out of it. Wonder where Rosenberg is getting his info, or if he's just trying to play a media game in hopes that by saying UM is out of it, things will speed up on our side trying to get JH. Oh the speculation.

Re: CB, can you give us any hint Based on the names you've heard, is there anybody in the same stratosphere of Harbaugh that is still on the table? Is there any reason to be excited at this point?

I'm not. Not very impressed with where things stand. CB

With all the dotcom billionaires they have, I'm surprised the Stanford coach isn't paid more. If they decide to step up, they can match anyone.

What fricking debts could he have? My God, between the pros playing and all the coaching gigs including Stanford, he should have plenty of cash.

If this is true, it would shed a bad lite on JH if you ask me.

Seems like a no brainer. One of these dudes has a BCS title and is money in bowl games. Oh well.

Looks like we need to start putting out feelers.

Chris Balas I recall a while back you stating something about a plan B "NFL" guy? Is that still out there?

quote:

No, he took himself out of the running and told them to go get Harbaugh. CB

Patterson ... Reply would be a flavor of the week hire. And I'm not saying he's not a good coach - he's just not the right guy for Michigan. CB

quote:

ESPN is stating that UM is out for Harbaugh based on the FREEP info?? Sorry but that means nothing is for certain. If NO ONE at ESPN has more information than Rosenberg, I don't believe for a second what everyone else is rumored to know. Not saying JH is coming here but don't buy it that Rosenberg is going to be the one to have the breaking news when there are tons of better professional sports journalists out there with better connections to the situation.

Well ... they could have used ours. We broke it first, and we stand by it. CB

CB are you still sticking to the post that Hoke will not be hired by UM??? might of been a week ago and was reinterated quite a few times

Re: CB are you still sticking to the post that Hoke will not be hired by UM??? Reply I'd say it's more possible today, for sure. CB

I have no inside info on that and if I did I wouldn't be able to talk about it.

I would say he and his "faction" are heavily involved still
