He would die with 3 statues at 3 different schools, undeniably the best of all time, gto of T-town for one of the best cities, get the the thrill of rebuilding one last time, get paid 10 mill a year. I don't think it will happen, but there are reasons.

As bad as Texas is, I think they played this the same way as Mack Brown, except they would keep strong if they were turned down.

If strong is out Herman is in. I Herman said no keep strong.

They're going to throw the Brinks truck at Saban. This time he takes it.

Texas should do this. Offer him $12M per year or something. An offer he can't refuse.

Because of his ego. Saban has a need to be worshipped. Terry has said more than a few times about how the fans aren't thankful enough or supportive enough. Nick talks about the fans leaving early. It's always something. He goes to Texas they can start an all new "worship the sabans" movement.

Something tells me he gets a fair amount of worship throughout the State of Alabama.

He does but it's not enough for them. They need more.

I would be perfectly okay with keeping Eaux if Saban left Gumpland.

Of course we would lose two or three games a year, but I could tolerate that until Eaux got fired just to see the entire state of Alabama set ablaze.

I wish Texas would go after Saban just to force Bama to pay him more, if nothin else

Maybe they will be forced to sell mobile/gulf shores to Louisiana to cover Saban's salary.

Why leave everything you've built to go to Texas?

Just some random reasons:
1) Saban's MO is to go to down programs with potential and rebuild them. UT fits that perfectly.
2) If he were to win a natty at UT he would be the only coach to win natty's at three schools (he and Urban are the only two to win them at two different schools).
3) To show that he's bigger than Bama.

4) And frick Bama. You forgot that reason.

I don't think that's it. Sure he has an ego but I don't think he cares about that as much as he does about building a program. It isn't a secret that he's a perfectionist. He wants to perfect the things he can control.

I always took this as "Nick has done an amazing job, but expectations keep rising." I can honestly see how that would get difficult but NS doesn't strike me as the type to let it bother him. If anything, it probably motivates him.

Maybe he wants a new challenge? I don't think he'll leave but IF he were to go to UT that would be why IMO. Not because of the fans and/or expectations, but because he loves a challenge.

Saban has always struck me as someone who loves the challenge and loves working.

Saban to Texas just makes so much sense! For all these same reasons that were hashed out two years ago. Make it happen UT!!

Saban is already the best to ever do it. Bryant and the like did it in an era that was nowhere near as competitive. Can't stand the midget but he's the best hands down
