No kid, that’s not why he’s going after LSU.

The 247 guys put an end to this last night. They said it was merely a rumor and there was nothing to it.

With the transfer portal you do not take players at a position that is set. 3-4 Louisiana kids will be in the portal next season.

So you think the best college football coach in history took a bunch of LA kids out of spite?

He hit A lot of states hard. Only 7 Alabama kids in his class. Not a lot of in state talent there. He hit Georgia pretty hard too.

But why would golding recruit these cats to Bama then have to turn around and play them next year?

A lot of Alabama fans would chip in on his LSU salary.

Golding was still the primary recruiter on a couple of the receivers. He’s an outstanding recruiter on both sides of the ball

Did he lose a coach to LSU each of the past 13 years when he went after our recruits too? What a dumb comment.

One reason he goes after Louisiana hard is not because he needs the players but because he wants to keep LSU from getting them. Look at the wide receiver situation this year.

This is how Alabama has always operated. I grew up in the Bear Bryant era when he had no recruiting limitations and he somehow convinced every decent recruit that they were the next Joe Namath. He would pose with their momma and daddy for a picture, sign them, and stand them on the sidelines for 4 years. He got the ones he wanted and kept alot of other programs from getting players that they wanted. But in the end, they got to play for “The Bear!” Even though in reality, they got used a blocking dummies for four years. Saban gets who he wants and delays, devalues, or derails alot of players who could be successful in other programs.

There is no way Golding is coming here

Unless they promised him some stupid money and a HCIW deal in 7-8 years
You saying there is no way a Louisiana guy, who recruits Louisiana, wouldn't go to LSU? Give him 2.5 mill and tell him to lock down the state.

I don’t know about all that. His dynasty is to march into any of the 50 states in this country and pluck their best players. Mobile is full of great football players and most don’t even get an offer from that school up in Tuscaloosa.
