What a nightmare this would be

He's always been a little squirrelly at the podium

frick Riley. He had his chance last time and chose USC.

Why

I woudn't feel any better about Riley than I did with BK TBH
Posted on 11/16/25 at 12:12 am to SidewalkTiger
Oh c'mon it wouldn't be that bad
Posted on 11/16/25 at 12:13 am to Tunasntigers92
It wouldn't be that good either

Same. I know his deal is ridiculous at USC so we would be paying a ton. Riley is soft. We need to return the LSU swagger and toughness.

He wants out of Cali, go figure

If I had to guess, because OSU is the new Bama, and he hates the traveling.

I wouldn't melt, I'd just prepare for more 8-4
He doesn't know shite about the SEC or LSU, his teams are generally soft. He's 8-5, 7-6 in his last two seasons. 7-2 YTD.
I feel the same about he and Drink, just a lot of meh. I'd rather take a chance on a complete unknown than either of them.
They feel like weird fits that won't excite recruits/transfers/the fanbase, probably good football coaches, but not dynamic enough.
With Kelly, I felt like we were constantly driving on 7 cylinders, everything was hard. I think Riley/Drink just give us more of that. I don't expect to win every game but it shouldn't feel that hard all the time.

Apparently he doesn’t like Southern California and the lack of fan support

Who's your ace in the hole then?

This is apparently a lot of it

I'd probably go Lane, then maybe a G5 guy like Golesh/Sumrall, then drop down to a coordinator level.
Maybe we give Riley better resources than USC/Oklahoma but I don't feel like it's drastically better, like you'd see with Ole Miss vs LSU.
