UT is Bama on steroids. I'm glad they are in the Big 12. Their program will be on steroids with Saban. With Saban their recruiting goes national and they will cherry pick the top 10/15 players out of Texas every year. A&M and OU will get the leftovers. And we all know he can and will sign the top 2 or 3 from La. and also Ala and Fla.
I really can't imagine how may NCs he will win there. Probably until he hits 75. He will be the first billionaire college coach when he retires with 15/16 NCs under his name from 3 different colleges.

Amen to that.

Texas is a more arrogant program than Alabama, hands down. All this "Saban to Texas" garbage is coming from Texas shills. We could have a fun afternoon making a list of all the "done deals" they've reported over the years that ended up being wrong - like Notre Dame to the Big 12 for example. They wanted it to be so, and were therefore convinced it would be so.Perfect - except Notre Dame didn't want to be in the Big 12.
Jimmy Sexton is a smart man. and he'll do the he can for Nick Saban. Even if you're not looking for a new job, you're foolish not to listen to offers; Saban is not foolish, he'll listen to what they have to say and what they think he's worth. Then, if he's happy at Bama, they'll come to an agreement that probably gets him a nice raise.
I personally think he'll stay at Bama. But, if he doesn't, they'll find another great coach. The feeding frenzy over this is entertaining though!

Texas claims the 1970 NC. You know the season where you were ranked #1 at the end of the regular season and got beat up by Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl? I guess A&M should claim '92 as well then since we were undefeated before ND killed us as well. Now lots of schools count the UPI Titles that didn't include the Bowls but it is beyond hypocritical to then talk down to other schools counting "questionable" NC's.
You are a complete idiot, and I've told you this before. Take note, since you are so slow, fat boy.
Barring just a few years (like three), the AP poll ALSO awarded its national championship before the bowl games, from 1936 to 1968.
Your ignorance is shown when you mention merely "UPI." Do the AP polls all those years not count, either? Fool.

A&M claims 3 Titles
And two of them were "claimed" in 2011 or whichever year it was you moved to a different conference. Same time you claimed two divisional co-championships where you didn't even play in the conference championship game as... you guessed it... "conference championships."
I know you had to reinvent your backwooded, jarheaded, racist, LOSING ways to show yourself in a new light among your current playmates, much based on half-truths, lies and meaningless boasts.
But your old playmates (Texas, Baylor, Tech) know you are full of shite, liars and cheats. Just ask the NCAA infractions committee.
Good day to you, sir.

Easier to recruit in Bama than Texas is hilarious.

You would think Texas, not Bama, has had the #1 ranked class for years running. Weird

Can you tell me how many players are from Bama that he is recruiting?
If Saban can get out of state recruits to go to Bama he can get them to Texas...and he wouldn't need as many out of state recruits to get number one classes at Texas.

Here's a factor few are considering.
It's one thing to cherry pick a few recruits from Texas, but the schools that HEAVILY rely on Texas for their football programs have very strong and deep relationships with the Texas High School coaches.
Mack Brown cultivated relationships with those coaches over a LONG period of time. If Texas doesn't handle the situation correctly, it could blow up in their faces.
Kevin Sumlin is successful because he and his staff have deep relationships with the Texas high schools that he began when he was the O/C at Oklahoma, grew while as the Houston coach, and really took advantage of as A&M's coach.
Conversely, when Dennis Franchione came from Alabama to A&M, he had such a huge ego that he went to the high schools and expected the HS coaches to pay deference to HIM. As a result of Franchione and the way he treated their players, several high school programs and coaches (most notably Outlaw of Lufkin) would go out of their way to ensure that his players did not go to A&M.
I don't know yet if Saban would fall into the Mack Brown or the Dennis Franchione category, but it is a valid question.

You can only sign 25 a year. It's quality, not quantity. As has been mentioned before, if you mapped out an area from the Atlantic and headed west until you had an area the size of Texas, then that area would produce more talent than Texas. Hell the Bay Area in Alabama has produced TJ Yeldon, Julio Jones, Mark Barron, CJ Mosley, AJ McCarron, Nick Fairley, DJ Fluker in the last 5 years. Per capita talent in Alabama shits all over Texas. Quality, not quantity.

As long as A&M is in the SEC and Texas is not A&M is going to get recruits from Texas. Even with Saban the BDF is still the 5th best conference and they play mainly regionally televised games against teams nobody gives a shite about.
You forget my Aggie friend that Texas managed to win 3 NC's and Arkansas 1 NC's during the SWC days when they were the only national powers in a regional conference full of lightweights that nobody gave a shite about.

Laughable. Texas high school kickers are so good even Saban recruits them.

I know the area you mentioned is loaded with talent but it is also loaded with major D1 programs recruiting those kids. Allow saban to recruit a state as fertile as Texas ( in state recruits) and cherry pick 5-8 out of state recruits will be easier in recruiting.

How many times have we heard that "x" would never consider going to Texas or that the amount of money Texas can throw at something is just as comparable to other schools..
Let's just admit right now that most if not all of us were wrong. Texas is essentially on another plane when it comes to these things and the amount of both $$ and the level of names that are being thrown about pretty much demonstrates that.
I may be cynical, but if Saban was not interested at all, he would have already let it be known. Just the mere fact that Texas can make him consider a proposal should be enough evidence to show that we might be underestimating the pull of Texas. If you can reach out to the best coach in all of CFB who is loved and revered in his home state and has a dynasty going both on and off the field and have the power to get him to consider to leave, then I am sorry but that is WAY more power than 99% of the programs in CFB will ever be able to brign to bare.

Every big program in the country recruits the hell out of Texas, and few even waste their time in Alabama. A top prospect or two leaves Alabama every year, but then there are ten or twelve more that we only battle auburn for.
Texas can recruit Johnny 5 star in El Paso without leaving their state borders and Alabama can recruit Johnny 5 star in Atlanta, or Pensacola, or Nashville, or New Orleans, or Tallahassee, or Jacksonville and be closer than UT had to go to get to their guy within the state. Geographically Alabama is right smack dab in the middle of the richest pool of football talent in the country. The 250 square miles around Tuscaloosa produces better talent than the 250 square miles around Austin. It's just as easy to recruit to bama as it is to Texas, and it always has been on average

Mack has been there for like 15 years and he was far from the best coach in the country at the time, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.
