The sky isn't falling

I was in favor of LSU hiring either Jimbo or taking a risk with Herman but let's be completly honest here. Herman became an even bigger risk after showing off his inconsistent team yet again with another loss to an inferior opponent. Tom Herman was expressing interest but was dragging his feet waiting for Texas. The man didn't want the job quite as much as we would like. Jimbo is either using LSU as a means to negotiate with FSU or a combination of negotiation and desire to leave. Jimbo was simply not happening for anything less than a Saban-like contract.

Ed Orgeron is the safe pick and if you consider what he accomplished with a mediocre OC and a tumoltuous change occuring during the season. Yes he had one bad game against Florida. If we are honest about that game- It wasn't all on the coaching staff. You must also consider the progress that LSU's passing game showed in our final game against A&M.

It's going to work out ladies and gentlemen. Our coaching staff isn't set in stone and I'm sure that better coaches will emerge over the next few years if O doesn't work out.
