All things being equal, as far as position and money, give me one reason to choose Tenn over LSU. . .

You Tennesse fans are truly delusional! Do you honestly believe that LSU would have offered $900,000 to an assistant coach ? That's incredulous as it would have thrown the assistants' salary scale out of kilter.Coach Orgeron will not get any recruits out of La. that LSU offers.

Probably would have cut into our casino chip budget as well.

Do you think Les Miles drove the armored car down to meet Orgeron? Could've brought him a few trays of chips, made him a down payment or something.

1) Tradition/ Top 10 All-time program
2) Facilities
3) Fan Support
4) Neyland Stadium
5) Rocky Top
6) Working under possibly the best DC ever.
Just a few off the top of my head....

it won't.

but you guys would have been even more next level with Coach O.
debatable. i don't recall one commit he got at OM that LSU really, really wanted...despite all of his mythical/legendary recruiting skills. maybe there was one. i just don't recall.

Possibly the best DC ever has 1 SB ring and 2 SB appearances.

7 solid years of football does not make LSU a better program than UT.
LSU is a FINE program, but so is Tennessee. That is just a fact, not "delusion".

1) Tradition
LSU has 2 BCS Champ trophies this decade.
Your tradition is faded.
quote:Push. . .at best.
2) Facilities

3) Fan Support
That would be an LSU lean.

4) Neyland Stadium
vs. Death Valley??????

5) Rocky Top
Seriously?

I think reality makes LSU a better program than UT in any way that is relevant to a coach currently considering either program.

I'll give you that, but LSU is a push on this.

I have no idea what the UT practice facility and weight rooms look like, but I know ours don't suck either.

over-rated

5) Rocky Top
This is a negative.

Besides he only has a few years left at best or could have a stroke at any minute at worst. Plus his system is unproven on the college level.

A few other negatives-
Poor recruiting back yard.
Third fiddle in the east.
Saban kicking your arse.
