I don't think you understand. He took Prescott early in the process and identified his talent. He lost a ton on defense the year after they went to the Orange Bowl.
MSU doesn't reload. It takes him 2 years to get it to a serviceable level. He's splitting recruits with Ole Miss in a state that doesn't produce the talent singularly that Louisiana produces.

He's hired some fantastic defensive coordinators they can't keep because they don't have the $. Manny Diaz. Geoff Collins.

I'm embarrassed that you want to hire a coach that has been mediocre his entire career. I don't agree with the o hire. But I sure as hell don't think Mullen should have been a top candidate.
