Why play LSU, Auburn, A&M, UGA, Fla, Mizzou, S Car, etc 9 times a year, when you could do it once, maybe twice instead?

Saban at Texas would make the playoffs every year.

He only has to beat (insert SEC champ here) once to get that 3rd school a BCS. Not every stinking week, for 9 striaght weeks

No matter how you break it down, Saban's job would be easier in the B12 than in the SEC.

outrageous amounts of money to live in a much better city at a better school that is easier to recruit to and will be easier to win at are the reasons why he will leave.

Your OP is just lagniappe.

The problem with that is if he loses 1 game he is out, even if he wins the BDF. The BDF is the 5th Best Conference in a 4 Team playoff. The SEC also will likely send 2 teams most years (it would have sent 2 each of the last 3 seasons for instance).

So the schedule may be easier but the margin for error is much smaller.

I say the pending NCAA hammer is a major factor.
Althought Saban probably had little to nothing to do with the issues, He Gone!

What makes you people think nick saban is the type of person who even lets the possibility of losing one game a year enter his mind. The man is a perfectionist, he expects to win every game.

I have been thinking this for a while.

I know there is SEC bias on the rant. But why do people think a non SEC Champion will make the playoffs over a Conference Champ. I know it is only a consideration, but I have a problem with people from other conferences or areas of the country doing this on any kind of regular basis. If it does, the other Commissioners will step in.

Also a Saban 1 loss Texas team will have all the glitz it needs to get into the playoffs over a non SEC Champion. (TV market, Texas reputation, Saban etc)

Saban has had ONE undefeated season in his career but won 4 NC's. Your statement makes no sense.

I think may be part of it. He is trying to run a program within the unwritten NCCA rules. But the BAMA boosters are committing violations and he can't control them.

I can't remember who the BAMA player was last year, but if got paid prior to the Championship game BAMA will have to forfeit the game as USCw had to.

Don't think the other commissioners are not complaining about what is going on there. Ohio State (Big 10) Duke (ACC) USCw (PAC12).

One final thought Texas runs the Big 12. Saban will have more control over scheduling, refs, etc then at Bama
