O has ultimately brought absolutely nothing to this program culturaly. frick him to be honest. He brought absolutely nothing to the table. We've completely deteriorated in culture and identity. Burrow was a Messiah in terms of the culture change and success and team identity that he brought. but hes gone now and it ALL left with him. We thought it would remain, but a single player will not establish a culture long term in College. ONLY a coach can. Only the Big Dog.

This dude Riley is gunna FINALLY bring a Miles/Saban level of culture effectiveness. BUT its gunna be fricking offensive centered and skill centered and electricity centered. LSU is about to be something weve never even imagined or fathomed before and i cannot fricking wait to watch it happen.

And i think O being as shitty as he was will actually be the BEST thing that couldve happened.

We arent changing the culture directly from les miles smashmouth to offensive lighting strike. that wouldve been hard and painful and clunky.

O burned the whole fricking thing down just in time for Lincoln to be able to come in and rebuild EXACTLY what he wants with absolutely no resistance.

O gets us a national championship with arguably the best collegiate football team ever and then sets us up to have an offensive guru/qb developer who is young and has something to prove.

This has the potential to be huge. We have to reel him in first, but I believe he is our guy.

I love how it's already thoroughly accepted that Riley is leaving OU.

Everyone is biting harder on this conjecture than I did on the Tom Herman -> LSU crap. I learned my lesson

I don't care how credible the "insiders" are, because they're being fed information too, from someone. Nobody directly involved in the process will come on TD and spill the beans, nor will they just openly talk about it to other people who can easily run to a message board and spill the beans.

We don't know crap. Woodward has done a fantastic job keeping this completely sealed.

fricking right Miles brought culture. Miles flamed out tragically but dont you dare dismiss what he brought to the table from 05-13ish. Les miles brought an identity. defensive/smash mouth culture. We got the best DB's, the best RB's and we pounded you to fricking death. if modern football didn't completely and rapidly change in the blink of an eye to a "gunslinger spread 45+ points a game required" reality, Les tbh had the perfect formula for a classic dynasty. he just couldnt adapt whatsoever, and Saban obviously could and was willing.

None of that changes the fact the he brought a classic culture that won ALOT of games.

Orgeron did one thing for LSU.

He showed that LSU has the foundation to win a national title despite having one of the worst, if not the worst head coaches in all of college football.

He has left no doubt regarding the potential of this program.

I can't wait to see what a real head coach can do with the tigers. I am not certain who it will be, but I am pretty certain it is going to be an excellent coach. Not since Saban have I been able to say that.

bullshite. Saban brought that. In 2003 LSU gave up 20 or more points 1 time and it came in. game they won by 30. In Les’ title year they gave up 20+ 7 times. It would take 8 years for a lea miles team to even come close to the 2003 defense and they still gave up 20+ 3 times.

Were you in a coma two years ago? What you describe above couldn't have been more accurately displayed by the 2019 season.

2019 was nothing but a pure anomaly that showed what lsu COULD be with proper coaching and culture.

Extended 2019 is what i dream of. and what is possible.

Yep. The great thing O did despite all the other crap, was slowly turn LSU into a spread concepts team. Now he really didn't know what he wanted, but from 2017-2019 the offense slowly went to this kinda NFL spread system, but it worked so well because the extreme talent we had everywhere on offense and especially at the control center (QB). We don't need that level of genius at QB, just a system that high school kids can come in and within a year, run it like a machine, and be explosive.

No jarring pro style to spread transition has to be made. All he really has to do is get a QB ready (like he has done for years), plug a couple OL holes, and teach his concepts. We already have the skill talent out the wazoo.
