Where fans here at the Rant hate, despise, criticize,and scrutinize every coaching decision and hire.
I give Coach O kudos. At least he didn't hire another retread. He's worked with Dava Aranda and Mike Zimmer. The guy should know how to design and implement a defense.
Now go find a DL and LB coach.

If that’s all it took not many would fail as coordinators or head coaches because at some point they probably worked under a really good coach

Bottom line is this, doesn’t matter if it’s a Great hire or another Bo...he’s hitched to CEO/LSU for 3 years.

We should have hired Brian Daboll as DC because he coached under Bill Belichick. I’m sure he’s qualified to coordinate us to an SEC title no doubt.

Let me guess. You would prefer someone like Brent Venables from Clemson. A man whose defenses got lit up last year by LSU and this year by Alabama. Two NC losses in a row.

You do realize when Brady was given an OC job, his record was 5-12. The exact same record as the OC before him. So no, it hasn't worked all that well for Brady.

You realize until hired by O he had NEVER called plays before. He then called the red zone plays. Turned out to be a great hire by O didn't it? Its's ok. Go ahead and admit it. It'll do you good. Lol

How did Linehan and Pelini turn out. O has made 1 great hire in his time at LSU, the rest have been below average to put it mildly.
