Dan Mullen could be a good one
Yes, he is indeed a good one, but he's not coming to LSU, that is if didn't go to Miami or Florida, he sure aint coming to LSU at this point and time. I think he's going to stay at State for at least another year or two, or more.

Do you think it is asinine because you think this thread will cause Miles to leave?

I think it is of a piece with those whose principal focus is on something other than Miles' value to LSU and who in many cases would like to see him go, and because it is (a) authored by you and (b) stickied by you, it has the appearance (and possibly the reality) of making that the official attitude of the website.

Or do you have a problem with hypothetical threads, in general?

They can be fun, if they aren't destructive.

It is stickied because it keeps countless other similar threads from appearing.

Speaking of hypothetical....

It proves he can get a bunch of kids to play their heads off in a game they shouldnt win. I mean he has not proved that he could sustain a big boy program. I think he is one hell of a coach, but not sure if he could step into the spotlight and be the guy everyone wants.
Are you serious????

He also went 11-1 one time at MIAMI, of all places.

9-3, 9-3, 5-6, 9-3, 9-4, 11-1.

First of all, those are pretty good records except the five win season and the next year he went to coach in the NFL and they went undefeated.

ALSO that was during at time when "Miami would be subject to severe sanctions for numerous infractions within the athletic department. Among the sanctions was a one-year ban from postseason participation and a scholarship reduction of 31 over a three year period beginning in 1996." for things that happened before they got there. Not to mention that he's gone 28-23 at UNC where they had been 82-77-2 in the previous 10 years.

He got UNC their first win at FSU and Virgina this year. Dude can coach.
