The fact that most of you didn't realize that CLM would use this

opportunity to negotiate a new contract is mind blowing. This was the perfect time and set of circumstances for Les to GET PAID. He is no longer a "Michigan Man", he's a Tiger!

If he hadn't taken advantage of this opportunity he should be fired for incompetence.

he already is paid
likely more than what any other team not named michigan would pay him

A Tiger he is and I am happy about that.

There isn't a new contract. There may be an agreement but nothing has been written. I don't know why this bullshite keeps getting reported on here. I'd know if there was.

Makes him look like an even bigger genius if he really did get more compensation.

maybe I should have used "get respect". Last year's Alleva letter probably didnt set well with him and he used the Michigan fiasco as a springboard for respect from the Athletic Dept.

the only way les could have gotten a better deal would be to hang the UM offer over LSU's head
if that happened, i don't see how it builds "respect"
if les never had a UM offer, then it makes the LSU ADept look like a bunch of morons (assuming les improved his deal)

Exactly. When the opportunity arises, that what we all should try to do, maximize earning potential. Noone is going to just give you extra money without you doing something about it. This past year I did just that and it worked out really well for me as opposed to sitting on my laurels and taking the minimal pay increase that was probably coming. You've always got to look out for #1, yourself.

You are intentionally ignoring the report by BelowPar (weeks ago) that said that LSU and Miles were already in discussion to renegotiate the contract. LSU was looking to resolve the buyout problems it has.

Was going on before RR was fired. Try a new angle.
