per orangebloods...no link.
also, seems like bryan harsin from boise st. may be the key target in their OC search.

Well, Miles is running out of options at this point.

I really like Harsin. Could be a home run hire, wish LSU would go get him.

Is there any info on the interest level between Malzahn and Texas? For instance, are there Any reports sayin Malzahn was uninterested in the job? Or is the guy from Boise their top choice?

Why would Malzahn go to UT? They have a head coach in waiting.

More pay doing the same job in a lesser conference, easier to recruit, scandal talk rampant, etc.
Muschamp makes over a mill with the HCIW title. They could afford to pay Malzahn 800-900k range which I think blows what he's making now out of the water.
I'm just giving reasons. I don't know if he leaves AU fwiw.

Nope, $900,000. But close.

Doesn't he have incentives in his deal that puts him over a mill? Maybe that's where I got the mill number.
Sorry for the misinformation.

I really do not think any true competetive coordinator or HC, at any level, would take a job at the same level due to it being less stressful. The guy has had a top rated offense at each school at the collegiate level. Arky, Tulsa and Auburn and has utilized his talent vs. wasting it. If Auburn does not give him a pay raise, they are truly stupid.

I agree if he does in fact leave, it's for the money. If AU got in the same ballpark if Texas offered him a raise, then he stays put until a HC gig.

Auburn's offense has a chance to be somewhere between pitiful and below average next year (assuming Cam is gone), which could take some of the shine off his stock right now. Moving would give him a buffer, and if Texas improves he looks good.

If Gus leaves Auburn for the same job at Texas, i'd love to hear what Chizik would say to talk him out of it.

thankfully Miles is taking his good ol' time so that he's forced to keep Crowton, that way he doesn't hurt anyone's feelings. would be right up Miles' alley

According to the interweb, which is never wrong:
Gus Malzahn makes $500,000
Gary Crowton makes $500,000 in 2011
Bryan Harsin makes $223,466
Greg Davis made $425,000

crowton is vastly underpaid if he is getting what malzahn is getting
