I’d be happy with Riley but $11-$12M is outfrickingrageous for a coach with less accomplishments than the one we fired.

Because the new TV money will kick in soon enough, and it will grow EXPONENTIALLY after Texas and OU join the league… We’re simply getting ahead of the curve with our offers.

Exactly. The TV money and now with internet gambling it’s going to be huge. Riley is the best available guy. He’ll get a defensive coordinator. We’ve come a long way from thinking is was Tucker or Franklin. Franklin lost to the Fighting Illini today.

OU might be in Oklahoma but OU is still a respected traditional powerhouse in college football. They aren’t a rinky dink program.

Much ado about nothing. Riley isnt leaving OU because he knows he can and will win it all with Caleb Williams.
Not only that but OU also has deep pocket boosters and no way they let us outbid them. Vol makes a great point about the tv deal but the OU AD is just as aware of that as Woody.

I'm with you I think OU will match our offer. I don't think Caleb is a big selling point for Riley though as he would have a full cupboard with QBs here. Who knows maybe by some miracle he can get Manning here too. That said, can't see OU letting themselves get outbid even with crazy talk money.
