Saw a tweet saying Taggart and FSU were negotiating a deal right now, and said he had cancelled the recruit visit after his meeting with the school.

Put it this way, FSU doesn’t appear to be very organized and resolved.

Who would Oregon replace Taggart with?

Cats out to the bag but Leavitt told a recruit he is staying in Oregon no matter what. With FSU reporting that they are going hard for Leavitt, it should get interesting.

I don't care as long as they get Taggart. Been talk of Mike Elko as dc if not Leavitt

I think we’re all happy because it looks like Leavitt stays.

Seeing a few places reporting it as official now.

Does Oregon promote Leavitt to HC? I think if you want to hold on to him you should. Isn't he going to go after the Kansas State position hard whenever Snyder calls it quits?

Yes and yes. However, Venables and their heir apparent do as well. I don’t think Leavitt is gets it I honestly think retaining our defensive staff is huge. Clark and Woodie may go but I could see Heyward getting DC.

What are the rumors as far as staff following/staying? I'd imagine the Florida guys are going to Florida and the west coast guys will stick around?

Seems like Oregon would want to go younger

Anything can happen, but it looks like he's going to FSU.

Leavitt is coaching for awhile. We retain the defensive staff outside of Woodie. They’re Leavitt’s guy. I don’t care on offense. We need a good coordinator and I am not sure about Cristobal or Arroyo in that capacity.

leavitt is a far superior coach to taggart. taggart can recruit, which is why i think he should stay in the pac12. at fsu he can get a top 5 class every year and there won't be as much talent disparity in the southeast as would out west.

leavitt is probably tired of carrying taggart anyway.

trading jimbo for taggart is music to my gator ears.

Jimbo checked out at FSU this year. Him staying would have been great for UF

They should hire Sumlin, the Swag level of Oregon would be unlike anything ever seen.
