BREAKING: Willie Taggart is flying to east coast today to meet with FSU officials for 1st time. If meet goes well, UO expects him to accept job. This comes from an extremely reliable source (person who tipped me that WT was getting UO job last year that set my Twitter page on ??)

Chip should have waited another week.
Maybe Phil Knight will pay his UCLA buyout before he ever coaches a game there.

Their “top 10” class wasn’t going to last anyway. They have 24 verbals and they’re around 7th. Bama, Clemson, USCw only have 11. And there’s a ton of schools with between 15&20 verbals with a higher average ranking. When signing day is over Oregon will be pushed down ranking in the 20’s.

We are taking 32 with some of the higher ranked kids still undecided. We are heavy favorites for 3 96+ composites.

The Florida State guys are reporting that the FSU officials and Sexton are meeting in Scottsdale. They assume that Taggart will be there, but can't confirm.
I would be pissed if I was an Oregon fan and Taggart uses up a bunch of the head coach visits on recruits only to bail.

Also, the original fake news was him going to Florida. So, this one could also be fake news. Personally, don’t know why FSU would have him #1. Part of me thinks Taggart is a smokescreen for going after their recruits.

he has always been the main candidate my fsu friends have mentioned since the jimbo rumors started. only other guy i've heard is fuente.

This is a bad move for Taggert following Jimbo and also that he has a good set up in Oregon for success. I think Charlie Strong (not a great coach) is a more likely hire, and it would be a good move for him.

I’ve heard Franklin more than Fuentes. I won’t die on that hill. I am totally prepared to hear Taggart to FSU. However, if he meets FSU on a recruiting trip, there will be no blessings from the Oregon faithful.
