Oh come on.

You think we could stop their passing attack?

Unless we can get pressure from rushing 3 or 4 guys so we could drop the rest.

I saw Missouri’s offense yesterday. It looked way too familiar.

So you want a coach who let's his OC kill drives by switching out qbs (for 1 play) that kills momentum (especially in the redzone) and settle for field goals?

If so Sumrall and Craddock are your guys!

FYSA in 1995 Gerry Dinardo’s LSU team embarrassed Nick Saban at Michigan State in the Independence Bowl. This was both coaches first year at their respective school and LSU’s first winning season in 6 years. I would also assume that in 1995, Mich State was closer to LSU talent wise than Tulane is to Ole Miss in 2025.

If Kiffin is 1A, Sumrall is 1B for me. The guy is a hard arse and his players play for him.

I think Sumrall is the best choice. He’s a younger Kiffin.

He is a great coach but personality wise they are opposites. Sumrall seems like a meathead (not a bad thing) that is brutally honest regardless of the situation and puts up with 0 bullshite or drama.

Lane runs the program a lot like Saban did at Alabama but the man does like to troll and be the center of attention

Anyone thinking Sumrall isn’t a risk is fooling themselves. He’s never been more than an LB Coach on the P4 level and he’s never run anything close to the scale of the SEC.

If you want an alternate name who has been groomed to take over a major SEC program, it’s Glenn Schumann at UGA. If you like what you see with Lanning, he’s had the exact same developmental path of working with Saban and Kirby. No one is getting Lanning, but someone has a shot a potentially getting the next one in that line.

Schumann and Sumrall are my next 2 to be highly considered.

I love the way Kirby does it over and over again. Being a DC for him is appealing to me.
