"How many Stoops are there? This is like a scene in Spaceballs."
Apparently about 30 percent of all college coaches are Stoops..

This is actually a good hire for Kentucky.

Now comes the all important staff he assembles. UK made defense #1 which is good, now getting some talent on offense will make this a ballgame.

yes. If Stoops can recruit the most important people to his program (the coordinators) then he would have a much better chance of pulling in top recruits.
Kentucky can be a top notch location but the right people have to be here to oversee it.
Defense wins Championships.

I am overall happy about this hire. I have advocated on here for UK to hire a defensive minded head coach. I would have preferred someone with HC experience, but I will take this hire.
I hope he hires a solid OC and DC, and UK will get competitive again quickly.

One name we are hearing now is Texas Tech offensive coordinator, Neil Brown. He is a native of Danville, KY and played at UK from 1998 to 20090. He has been at TTU since 2010. Prior to that he was wide receivers coach and offensive coordinator at Troy from 2007 to 2009 and prior to that spent time at Delaware, Sacred Heart and Massachusetts.

Word is, Stoops is bringing current OC from FSU with him Coley...suppose to be one of the best recruiters.
Also, some recruits for FSU buzzing on their twitters about Stoops to UK....hmmmm, if we could snag some of them

The article I posted said this was initially true but is not the case now. They mentioned someone else in the article though.
I think we could definitely snag some FSU recruits.
