It just makes too much sense when you think about it. Why is nobody talking about the undefeated head coach who almost has Cincinnati in the playoffs? He has been off everyone’s radar with this narrative that he wants to stay in the Midwest. What Big 10 job is he waiting for? All the good programs are locked up and will be for some time. The guy makes $3.4 million/yr at Cincinnati, you’re telling me $10+ million/yr can’t lure you to a program like LSU? I think Woodward has had this locked up for a while now and is just toying with everyone leaking information about other candidates so Fickell’s name continues not to come up.

They would have to lose for that to happen i believe. They beat Houston and that is gonna be a tough pull simply because of timing.

He would be an upgrade over Riley. Just never thought too much into it because everyone says he wouldn’t leave MW

Well unless Woody really swing and missed with Reilly then I have to believe he’s already got his guy and just waiting to announce until that person is ready (no longer in contention for playoffs or championship)

Fickell makes a lot of sense and actually a better choice than Reily.

Throwing away all the fluff and “sauces”, I tend to agree with Fickell being plausible

It's interesting that he was an early hot name but he hasn't been mentioned with all the other jobs opening up.
