Arnett is an amazing defensive coach and we’d be stupid not to go after him.

We literally tried to bring him to lsu and he turned us down in 2021.

Woody needs to bring him home

Has to be one of the stupidest decisions in CFB history. And yet I would be OK if he was named our DC.

He has a 4.5 million buyout Good grief. That seems excessive.

That’s only 6% of Jimbo’s.

I'm really surprised by this. Seems they would've given him another year.

With NIL and transfer portal, I think those days are long gone in today’s college football world.

He's next, and that should round out the coaching changes. This is the actual inverse of the way I saw it happening. I didn't see Pittman having a job today but thought Fisher and Arnett would be fired after season.

He is definitely a victim of their brutal front-loaded schedule. They spent a whole month playing games away from home and by the time that gauntlet was over, they were too beaten down to win winnable home games vs Mississippi State and Auburn.

He should had reached out to Will Roger"s dad who runs the Air raid offense at Will's high school to come in and run it for Will's last year.....

It made no sense why he abandoned an offense that really seemed to work.

Coach O, unprepared In 2020? I can see that easily….stayed unprepared through 2021, too

Not really in context. He and Clark Lea were/are the lowest paid coaches in the SEC. Lea is at $4 mil and Arnett made $4.5. While he may as well have been called an interim, you still have to pay in the ballpark of the rest of the league.

For all of you saying to hire him as DC- no thanks. Unless you liked Pelini’s press man and constant blitzing all the time, no matter what. He does the same thing. He’s been better than Bo 2.0, but good OCs take advantage of his lack of creativity and roast his defense all the time.

He runs a lot simpler scheme, but he’s also just as bad about being rigid and slow to adjust as House. And he doesn’t have a rep as a great recruiter, either. I don’t understand why so many of you are on fire for him when there are lots of better candidates out there.
