The insiders… and friends of insiders, are simply repeating what they are being told. It’s the sources within the athletic department that are full of shite and can’t connect the dots or close deals. That starts at the top. If Woodward thought Riley was done and communicated confidently about signing him, then he has embarrassed LSU and all associated with the university. He failed big time and needs to make up for it.
That said, i bet it’s Campbell now. I think Napier is the best choice though. I always did.

Well, here’s a good melt for you.
An impact hire like Riley could have straightened this roster out in a hurry.
A mediocre hire like Stoops or BOB will likely lose this class. The transfer portal will hemorrhage LSU players.
We could be looking at at least five years of 7-5 type seasons.
