Only Napier would still have this level of fawning after beating
4-4 FCS Nicholls
1-7 Arkansas State
South Alabama
4-5 Georgia state
By a combined 10 points.
Some offensive genius.
Also given that he is in his 4th year and he is a recruiting savant he is competing with by far the best talent in the conference.
I guess to some people this is impressive though

National ESPN audience and home attendance was an inflated 16,007.
UL-Breaux Bridge is 8 and 1 this year, admittedly playing nobodies. The one loss was to Texas, who is shite this year.
Napier draws no excitement from the locals and wins be narrow margins over teams like Nichols St, Georgia St, etc, etc.
He is good at he Sun Belt level, but nowhere near ready for the LSU/SEC level by any measurement.

a decent season
i mean you could google..he's 36-12 with no losing seasons and 4 straight bowl appearances at a bottom 20 school (in terms of resources). like every candidate, he has his drawbacks, but the thought that he's being brought up for have one good season is dumb

and it's not some flashy name he will be ridiculed to death
I don't think it would be. I know my FSU friends would love to have him as would my gator friends. He's an up and comer for sure.

So he's from the Sun Belt. He has more HC experience than Aranda and Tucker combined. He beat Iowa St. and coached under Saban.
Why can't Napier be defended or spoken of without linking him to Aranda and Tucker? Isn't his extensive coaching resume enough?
Does he really need kickstands or props to defend or promote him?

Its because the local media tells them to, Jacques and other radio host's running infomercials for this Napier, and it works, look at this board and others, same BS,
Why would people settle for Napier or push for him to coach LSU when there are real proven option's available?
It's because the man behind the big desk on TV told them to. "People will except propaganda before Truth most of the time"

Napier needs to prove himself on a larger stage before he should be considered to coach at LSU.
