Kelly would be dumb to sign anything without at least seeing what UCLA was going to counteroffer. No way does UCLA fire Mora unless they were extremely confident that they were going to land Kelly.

not sure how the uf and ucla jobs are even comparable.
maybe comparing a&m to uf, but ucla is laughable.

Historically UCLA has cared much more about basketball than football but don’t fool yourself.
They are undoubtedly the biggest sleeping giant in college football. With a real commitment from the school administration and the right coach, they could own the Pac12 for years.

Wait a second...you mean when someone else entered the competition for your #1 candidate your AD didn’t throw a hissy fit and immediately hire a much worse candidate? That’s weird

As a coaching job, UF is way, way ahead of UCLA. Comparing Gainesville to LA is comparing apples to oranges. I much prefer FL to CA.

Ucla has always been a sleeping giant. If someone like chip took over that program they would be competing for a playoff spot in 2-3 years.

Perhaps. But it seems they've been in USC's shadow for decades. And UF has actually won Nattys in that period.
