Well if he was, I don't see it as a distraction if he's simply a st coach who would be agreeing to take a dc role after the season ends.
I don't think the players or team would be unfocused or upset at that and would understand.. Now if it was a hc, offensive or defensive coordinator then I'd understand.

Yep. Both feet down and elbow hit which is necessary not to be a fumble. That ruale is fricking dumb. LOL at "not a football move". Since when is diving for the line not a football move?

If that referee decision is the correct interpretation of the rule, then you are correct that the rule is dumb. In fact, it's ridiculously dumb and needs to be changed.

and that after 3 complete steps w the ball clearly under control.
The rule is bad enough requiring a receiver to "complete the process" of making a catch all the way to the ground (why wasn't the play complete when his knee touched) but the application today was ridiculous. Looked like a pretty deliberate football move to me.
