So who replaces Chip Kelly at Oregon? Chris Petersen?

Extensions really don't matter. Oregon would throw Nike money at Peterson if they could lock him down

Petersen has already proved the point that he is not about chasing the buck. And there was this thing about his son's cancer treatment.

Peterson has ties to eugene. Oregon is the only place he would leave boise for. He is a former coach under belloti. In his contract their is a clause that oregon is the only job he can leave for and not have to pay the buyout.

Well, that makes no sense. Why would they exclude Oregon in the buyout if that's the only place he'd leave for?

Because that would be the only contract he would sign... It's the same thing with Miles and Michigan. In one of his older contracts, that was the only school that didn't have a buyout. This is a common practice.
