So what teams are LSU fans rooting for, for the remainder of the season?

Texas, Notre Dame, and USC?

If those teams all win out LSU would clearly be the best open job, right?

And Louisville to beat Houston? And maybe the 49ers to lose all of their games?

Not saying USC or ND are better gigs right at this moment, but it would be nice if they weren't even options.

Agree with respect to getting Herman. For Jimbo I think he would only leave for LSU anyway.

Maybe FSU have a weak season so that athletic department and fanbase becomes reactionary and doesn't fight him leaving as much?

Yeah and that has kinda started to happen it seems with respect to the fact his defense has not been good and he would probably be having to do a overhaul on that side of the ball as it is. He could have Aranda here.

Louisville Houston game won't mean anything after Clemson rolls Louisville this weekend.

Louisville beating Houston eliminates them from being in the playoff, meaning we potentially get Herman earlier.

Them and add in Auburn and A&M.

Louisville beats Houston.

Big 12 says no to Houston.

LSU goes 5-3(to not promote coach O but to keep him on for recruiting).

If we are going after Herman, I think that is the best scenario.

All that happens. We get Herman. Keep Aranda. Keep O for recruiting and give him whatever title is needed

Texas AND Texas A&M. If A&M has another late season melt i could see them pulling the trigger on Sumlin.

Also we really need to hope that the Big 12 votes NOT to expand, and thus leaving Houston in a non power 5 conference. That goes a long way IMO
