Do they really hold their football players to those standards?

Not even close. Our standards aren't much above NCAA minimum for athletes.

- What type of offense does he run? (spread or more traditional)
At ND- pro-style with gap primarily (hat-on-hat) blocking w/some zone blocking mainly on pass downs long yardage. Good bit of read option with Ian Book, less now and more RPO (but not the base, that's pro-style).

At Cinn- a spread, gap blocking, some RPO, not a lot of condensed formations. Wasn't really dink-n-dunk by the way. Lived on big plays with an outlet hanging around just in case.

- What does his pass/run ratio look like?
At Cincy (and before) he was considered pass happy approaching 60/40 pass/run.

At ND he's just above the 50 mark on passing.

I didn't think so.

At Cinn had about a 50/50 pass to rush ratio.. About twice as much passing yardage to rushing yardage per game. At ND favored slightly more rush plays than pass and obviously more passing yards per game but not twice as much as rushing. At both schools, loves to throw the ball to running backs and tight ends.

Sounds like he uses his available talent. Good deal.
