So if Texas doesn't get Herman, was firing Strong all for nothing?

If there was no Tom Herman, Would Strong have gotten 1 more year?

Is the Herman sweepstakes the main catalyst for ending his tenure, or would Texas have fired him regardless and gone after someone else?

Imagine what a predicament they would be in if LSU or Oregon sweeps Herman from under their feet and they are unable to pull Jimbo or Dabo (b/c they are happy at their respective schools). They'd probably end up recanting on Charlie and letting him finish out his contract

Would be absolutely great if Texas is the one that ends up with Fedora or Mullen.

Not yet; There have just been a ton of rumors floating around after they lost to Kansas

No. They weren't playing to their potential. Simple answer. As much as I respect Les Miles, he promised to change the offense. He didn't, he got fired. That's the way big-time college football works.

Strong has sucked as s head coach at Texas.

They should be progressing, and getting beat by Kansas is anything but.

If texas doesn't make a bowl they'd have to fire strong.

Depends on who they hire. If they go hard after Davi and he says yes would you consider that nothing?

If they want fan support they need to. Texas people will go ballistic if they keep strong especially after losing to kansas and if they don't make a bowl.
