O told yall the hiring would be announced after the bowl game. Expecting anything sooner is setting yourself up for disappointment

I hear that Kiffin is also eyeing an NFL OC gig.

He is interviewing today. If they like what they hear, I'd think they offer.

If Kiffin gets a HC job, we'll probably announce that we've hired somone else pretty quickly. If it's going to be Kiffin we're getting, he'll probably make us wait until after the bowl game holding out hope of some HC job. It would be worth getting Kiffin if only for one year in order to tweak Saban. He mentioned Kiffin was ready for a HC job 3-4 times in his last press conference so that LSU would know he didn't want his OC coming here. It would be a blow to his pride.

I doubt Saban is concerned about Kiffin at LSU

Just my opinion

And he's probably better off any ways

I disagree. Why woud he want an insider in his program going to the team with the best talent to contest his program, and whose greatest weakness could be fixed by Kiffin coming here.

Yea Saban is a stoic. But he is like Spock -- he had a human mother. It would be impossible for him to not think about it some.

No way he steps down that far, in his mind he is the best coach in the country!

Wku not a bad situation.. Very good offensive team under brohm.. However lane may want a bigger program so maybe he takes Lsu job.. If he turns Lsu around u can get a P5 school will come calling

This is all it boils down to for a lot of you guys. It's a really dumb attitude and hopefully your administration doesn't share it.

I read somewhere today that Lane will not be a candidate for WKU or Cincy. USF HC, NFL OC, or LSU OC look like his remaining options, with the NFL unknown.

look, Kiffin isn't going anywhere as an OC. He'll leave for a HC gig, but if he doesn't get it, I predict he'll re-up at Bama for another year. And Saban will be fine with it because Kiffin's worked magic with their offense and QBs, and will have Hurts back again.

was Houston much better than WKU???

Kiffin has to know he's not getting a Power5 HC job, unless it's a lesser school in a P5 conference. He'll go to a non-Power5 school as HC and if he kicks arse, bigger HC jobs will be come his way in a few years.

It's a nice little school, but does it pay its head coach 2 mil a year? That is what he can ask for at LSU or the NFL.
