Have you not payed attention to any AU coaching search over the decades? (I can understand, if your a 20's guy)
AU coaching searches are always a shite show, thanks to our stupid pearl clutching fans and meddling boosters.

Leach is definitely something. I’m still not sold he will adapt to be successful in the long run in the SEC. He’s currently recruiting worse than we do historically.
He was about to hire Joe Judge until the Giants came in. All of his first hires have sucked at State.

As others have said, the jury is certainly still out.
You have to understand, the Auburn fanbase is an impatient bunch when it comes to coaching searches. We were also torched the last go-round by a rogue hot tub enthusiast.
This search has been so tight-lipped that we can't handle the silence and our "insiders" and journo's know just as much as you and I. So they are feasting on our impatience with headlines like you saw this weekend about Freeze...nothing *certain*, only speculation phrased strongly.
There is so much going on behind the scenes that we don't know about. Cohen, to his credit, has not shown incompetence yet - even if it's hard for us to see other names being taken off the board. Now, could they be panicking and seriously basing their decision off the Twitter-verse? Yes. Could there also be a dozen other valid reasons why they haven't gotten their guy and announced it? Absolutely.
Gotta be patient. Could end up being a terrible hire. Could also end up being a great hire. We just won't know until we know, unfortunately.

Auburn is just plain stupid when it comes to hiring.
Pearl is.the.only one that they have gotten right in awhile. Maybe Thompson in baseball.

Well when the fans and boosters think the program is one place and in reality it is way below that, you are always going to end up disappointed.
