So Alleva had all the assistants sign their contracts before Chavis?

talking to a friend of mine about this today...
wouldn't you have the DC sign his contract first?
you know... just in case he refuses and the new DC wants to bring in people...
how bad did alleva screw this up?
ETA: chavis brought brick and cooper when he came in 2009

They were all given extensions at the same time lol. Would you have rathered only Chavis been offered then we have no defensive staff heading into National Signing Day?

Positions were open because previous coaches had been fired. Different than firing a stable, successfull, coaching staff at the tail end of recruiting.
