The reason these threads keep coming up is that there are very few facts that would lead one to believe that a change is going to be made.Nothing has come out of LSU. The only candidate who has admitted being contacted that I know of is Robinson, who many don't like. Who made that contact and the nature of the contact was not revealed. During the year, Miles criticized the offense and not the defense(just like Dinardo).Miles is friends with these guys and many feel he will do anything to keep them if he can. Other schools are hiring and firing coaches,whether they are involved in bowl games or not. The excuses for why there is no movement here are not convincing. There are more facts that would lead one to believe that a change will not be made than will be made. The only reason to believe that a change will be made is "faith." Those who questioned this hire from the start and those who have seen the defense play this year are low on faith.

He looked into a few other possible candidates last year. His philosphy kind of was, he's had some guys that have worked with him for awhile and have always done a good job. If when the promotions become available and he always hires from outside instead of promoting from within, why would good position coaches stick with him if they know they'll never have a chance at a promotion so he gave the guys a chance. Obviously it seems it hasn't worked out and so now lets get it right. That's what I was under he impression atleast.
