LM is gonna hire a new DC, but it is looking like he will keep Mallory and/or Peveto on the staff.
Peveto has stunk at every job title held on the staff, which would make Miles look chickensh!t. Peveto the Special Teams coach borders on Peveto the DC in ineptitude..no jamming..poor tackling..etc..
And crimps the new DCs ability to be as effective as he possibly could be, if given some leeway with his own defensive guys/hires.
To fire just any combination of Lane, McCarthy, or Johnson, seems awfully convenient and lacking total earnestness.
Can the same coaches that have lost so much face and faith, to so many current players, be the same ones to have them perform the same "coming to Jesus moments" which will be required for LSU to regain form and challenge Bama next year? This isn't even addressing improvement and minutiae, of which they either weren't taught, or couldn't comprehend from these current coaches.

Peveto the recruiter is akin to Brady the recruiter..LSU pretty much sells itself..
Fans have been clinging to certain coaches through all LSU eras, be it Stovall's, Arnspargers's, Curley's, Dinardo's staff,etc..to Saban's great one..the constant Nader has always been there..
In the meanwhile, LSU has marched onward and upward most all the while at every turn, without missing a beat on the recruiting trails, especially since Saban's elevation of the program..
The SEC's popularity is at all-time highs, even the Texas kids are wanting to come, when great Texas and OU programs are Top 5 programs..
The SEC of recent has been having about 7 or 8 schools in the Top 15 national recruiting rankings every year.
Any one coach's recruiting hauls and/or beats is very overrated..every coaching face at LSU in recruiting has changed many fold, especially over the last 28 years, sans Sam Nader, and yet LSU just goes up, up, and away.
And yet despite LSU's slight recruit ranking edges over many of their SEC foes, if coached by inferior or mediocre coaches, their abilities and upsides will not be tapped, and thus lesser talented teams will compete and beat LSU..
Gimme an elite staff coaching slightly lesser talent(Bama vs LSU the last two years) over the lesser coaching staff with the more talented ballers and/or deeper team, most any day of the week..Tubby, Nutt, Petrino, Meyer, Richt, all have held their own vs LSU's best window of winning in school history, despite talent concession for most of them..crisp coaching and proper motivation.
Changes cometh soon!
